With Halloween just weeks away, your Self Storage Thousand Oaks team thought it would be the perfect time to share some fun (and spook-tacular) outdoor adventures happening around Ventura County!
Nights of the Jack
You’re in store for a visual feast at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas. Enjoy this interactive, family-friendly experience. You’ll stroll through a walking trail with themed displays and sets of hand-carved, illuminated pumpkins. Watch a live pumpkin carver, sip hot cider or grab a ghoulish cocktail from the Spookeasy bar. There will also be festive treats for all the littles, so get your tickets today!
Haunted Trail and Costume Contest
For a night of fun at the Thousand Oaks Community Center, check out the annual Haunted Trail and Costume contest hosted by the Conejo Recreation and Park District. The October 23rd event includes a costume contest for all ages, followed by a reptile show on the soccer fields. The popular Trick or Treat Street will also be back with Halloween-themed houses created by local scout and community troops. Tickets are needed for the Haunted Trail, with the first departure at 7 pm.
Fall Harvest on the Farm
Join Underwood Farm in Moorpark for their annual Fall Harvest now through October 31! Pick out a pumpkin at their giant pumpkin patch and experience a day filled with games, rides, live entertainment, pig races, and more! Our favorites are the Corn Maze, pumpkin house, and sunflower trail. Visitors who buy tickets online for weekend days get priority entry.
Halloween in the Park
In Camarillo, Halloween in the Park happens October 31st at the Community Center Park on Burnley Street. This ghostly evening out will include mini pumpkin painting, lawn games such as corn hole, and pumpkin tic-tac-toe. Food trucks will be on-site to offer tasty dinner or dessert options before you head to the Trick-Or-Treat Village! This event is free and includes a costume contest for children.
Calabasas Pumpkin Festival
Head to Calabasas for this fun family-friendly event on October 17th at Juan Bautista de Anza Park on Lost Hills Road. You’ll find plenty of pumpkin flavors at the Food Court, live entertainment, in addition to rides and games for the kiddos. Tickets can be purchased online or at the gate. Parking and shuttles are free. Friendly, leashed dogs are welcome on the grounds only.
