Cali Woomer, a graduate of Newbury Park High School

Meet The 2025 Hollywood Storage Center
Scholarship Winners

Graduation season brings so much joy to our community. It’s a time to celebrate big dreams, reflect on meaningful milestones, and look ahead with hope. Here at Hollywood Storage Center of Thousand Oaks, it’s also one of our favorite times of the year.

Each summer, we award two scholarships to local students who have shown dedication, leadership, and a desire to make a difference. These scholarships are made possible through our Free Electronics Recycling Program. When our guests drop off their unwanted electronics throughout the year, the proceeds go directly toward supporting these hardworking students.

Please join us in congratulating this year’s outstanding recipients.

Cali Woomer, a graduate of Newbury Park High School

CALI WOOMER – ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST SCHOLARSHIP

Cali Woomer, a graduate of Newbury Park High School, has always loved nature. Her interest began during field trips to Satwiwa National Park and grew stronger in her school’s Earth Science magnet program. Cali turned that interest into action by volunteering at local farms, leading nature hikes, and helping care for more than 50 parks through her work with the Conejo Recreation and Park District.

She also used her creativity to promote sustainability. After winning a school-wide contest to design the senior hoodies, Cali began making and selling upcycled clothing. She used scrap fabric and zero-waste methods to create new designs while staying true to her eco-friendly values.

Cali plans to study sustainability with a focus on architecture in college. We’re proud to support her as she takes the next step toward creating a greener future.

Jose Hernandez -Thousand Oaks High School

JOSE HERNANDEZ – ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

At Thousand Oaks High School, Jose Hernandez made his mark as a natural leader and self-starter. He was president of the school’s Intramural Sports Club, which became the largest student group on campus. From planning events and managing budgets to securing sponsors, Jose showed initiative, drive, and a talent for bringing people together.

This fall, he’ll begin studying nursing with a focus on healthcare management. Jose hopes to one-day create community-based programs that make healthcare more accessible and effective. With his heart for service and innovative spirit, we’re delighted to support him on his journey to making a positive difference.

GIVING BACK TO TOMORROW’S LEADERS

As a locally owned and operated business, we’re honored to invest in the bright futures of students right here in our community. The Hollywood Storage Environmental Scientist Scholarship is awarded to a Newbury Park High School student interested in conservation and sustainability, while the Entrepreneurship Memorial Scholarship supports a Thousand Oaks High School student preparing for a career in business or leadership.
