Emily Bryant: Spoony Singh Memorial Scholarship

This year, we are pleased to award our 2024 Spoony Singh Memorial Scholarship for Business & Entrepreneurship to Thousand Oaks High School graduate, Emily Bryant. Emily is a standout student who has spent the past two years researching how specialized drones could deliver defibrillators to cardiac arrest patients faster than an ambulance can arrive. Her dream is to eventually start her own healthcare startup dedicated to ensuring that all communities get access to lifesaving emergency care within minutes.

A natural entrepreneur, Emily is also the owner of Em Bryant Photography, a business where she creatively directs, organizes, edits, and posts her original photography. She serves clients by capturing moments such as graduation, family events, and more. With her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to public service, Emily is destined to leave a significant impact on her community and beyond.

Carolyn Duc: Hollywood Storage Center Scholarship

Our 2024 Hollywood Storage Center Scholarship for Environmental Science goes to Carolyn Duc, a recent graduate of Newbury Park High School. Carolyn’s love for animals started when she was a kid watching National Geographic documentaries. This interest inspired her decision to major in Zoology and minor in Conservational Sciences when she starts college this fall.

Carolyn has dedicated over a decade of her life to swimming, and she considers the pool her second home. Throughout all four years of high school, she actively participated on the Varsity swim team and proudly served as team captain her senior year. Carolyn’s passion for both academics and athletics is truly inspirational, and we are confident she will make exceptional contributions to the field of Zoology.

Congratulations to Emily Bryant and Carolyn Duc, and to all students following their dreams. We believe in you and are excited to see what you do next.
